Introduction

Women's History is a library guide is designed to offer a starting point for your research in this subject area.  In addition to the electronic links here do use the library catalog to find books and DVDs in the library.  

Use the Library of Congress classification system to find books in the Library.Materials related to Women's Studies, feminism etc. will be found within the LC Class HQ.  However, many of the History materials dealing with women are found in other sections of the library, being classed as history, political Science, science, etc..  For example, the title Feminist Interpretation of Hannah Arendt  will be found under Politics: JC251.A74 F46 1995;  Iron Lady: a Biography of Margaret Thatcher is classed as history: DA591.T47 Y68 1989.
