Welcome to the Communication Theory Page

Communication theory provides explanations about how and why humans communicate in a variety of situations.  The theory on this page covers interpersonal communication, small group communication, large group (public) communication, mass mediated communication, computer mediated communication, and intercultural communication, as well as various means and purposes of rhetorical communication.

Some information here is similar to that found on the parent page, Communication Research Resources.  But some is different.  Overlap in an interdisciplinary field like communication is common, so be sure to check out both pages for a more complete overview of available resources.
