Online Teaching Basics Part 1

Guide to help students enrolled in Online Teaching Basics: Part 1

Resources for finding peer-reviewed literature

Below are resources to help with your research in Online Teaching Basics Part 1.

Citation Manager: RefWorks

Use Refworks to create a bibliography. RefWorks is a citation manager that allows you to import content from bibliographic databases and search engines and then create a bibliography in your desired output style (such as APA or MLA) with a few clicks of your mouse.

For assignment two where you need to research one of three fields (social, emotional, or cognitive) below are recommended databases and search engines available through Rowan University Libraries:

  • ERIC database: Articles and reports on all aspects of education.
  • Google Scholar: Search engine for scholarly literature from Google
  • Rowan Library: Search engine of materials owned by Rowan University Libraries in addition to resources from other libraries and open digital archives.
