This guide is designed to help you locate textbooks for your classes.
1. Begin by searching the University Bookstore to locate the required books for your course(s)

The 10th edition of A Short Guide to Writing about Biology is required for Biology 01203-1

2. Use Library Search to see if Rowan University Library subscribes to the title.

The 9th edition is available in print. Login to Library Search and request the book for Library Pickup. Requested materials will be available for pickup at our Temporary Service Desk on the 2nd floor of Savitz Hall. If you are a distance learner and cannot come to campus, you may sign up for Off-Campus Delivery.

3. If the 9th edition is not suitable, search EZBorrow for the 10th edition, and if it is available request it for free from another library.

In looking at all 12 versions that are available, the 9th edition is the latest version that is available from EZBorrow. If you request the book it will take 5 business days to arrive to the library and it can be mailed to you upon arrival or you can pick it up at the Temporary Service Desk on the 2nd floor of Savitz Hall.

4. If the book is not available in EZBorrow, place a request through ILLiad. Select the Book option under the New Requests tab. Fill out the form with the required information, which includes the title and editor/author. It is highly recommended to include the book's ISBN as this will speed request processing. This interlibrary loan service is free to use. Shipping times and loaning periods will vary by institution.
