About Reference Sources

Reference works are used to look up specific facts and data, rather than reading straight through. They include handbooks, dictionaries, standards, and encyclopedias. 

Materials Science and Engineering Reference Works

Print reference books (design handbooks, standards, dictionaries, and encyclopedias) are located in the 2nd floor Reference Room of Campbell Library. Science reference books are in Q, and engineering reference books are in T.

Many reference books are now available online and can be located by title using Library Search (see Find Books page) or through the databases listed below.
