Welcome to Computers & Society and Module 1!
This module includes detailed information about course expectations and an overview of major topics and course objectives. Module 1 also begins our discussion on Professional Ethics, paying special attention to the ACM Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, IEEE Code of Ethics, and The Software Engineering Code of Ethics and Professional Practice. We also review “real-world” frameworks for ethical challenges, which will build the foundation for your Assignment 1 - Solutions Formation Paper (Ethical Scenario), due in Module 2.
