Digital Humanities Toolkit: Home

Intro

So...What are/is the Digital Humanities? The definitions are many and varied. For our purposes, we will go with using digital tools and analyses to answer typically humanities-based questions. For example, using digital mapping to shed light on 18th century trade routes, or using digital text analysis to look at how beauty is described through all of Shakespeare's plays. The tools available for digital humanities research can be applied to an undergraduate paper or a long-term faculty research project. WIth such a large range of resources, figuring out what constitutes the Digital Humanities and how to get started can be daunting. Hopefully this guide will help orient you and give you ideas on how to integrate digital humanities into your teaching.
