Research Starting Points

Simply want a quick overview of getting started with Library's resources? Here are some key starting points. (You can also find these on the Campbell Library homepage.)

  • Library Search: searches the Library's books and most of its databases. this is a good starting point for your research. (If you're  overwhelmed by the number of results or having trouble finding relevant results, try the other resources suggested below.)
  • More Research GuidesResearch Guides like this one include recommended resources and search tips for subject-specific research.
  • Database Finder: includes an alphabetical listing of all databases. You can also search for databases by subject or by database type (e.g., primary sources, government sources, news sources).
  • Get Help: As the Political Science Subject Librarian, I (Andrea) can help via email, phone, or web conference. See my contact information on this page. You can also see the Ask A Librarian page for additional ways to get help.
