Linguistics

Linguistics, simply put, is the study of languages and their development, but there is no simple way to capture the multi-faceted nature of this science.  Entries for "linguistics" in the online encyclopedia Britannica Academic include historical linguistics, synchronic linguistics, anthropological linguistics, computational linguistics, comparative linguistics, and related terms such as structuralism, semiotics, phonemes, morphemes, and morphology. You get the idea; linguistics is both complex and unendingly fascinating.

The purpose of this Library Guide is to provide you with a starting point by organizing some of the library resources that you might wish to use in your study of one or more linguistics topics. The Library Guide is not intended to be comprehensive but should help point you in the right direction.
