Based on the GPT-4 large language model. NOTE: This is the chatbot version of Copilot, not the version that integrates with Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 Copilot involves additional licensing fees.
  • Open AI’s Chat GPT is free (with options to upgrade) but data use restrictions apply. It can summarize text, write and code, and create images.
  • Anthropic’s Claude is free (with options to upgrade) but data use restrictions apply. It can summarize text, write and code, and search. Claude is known for having a more “human-like” personality in its responses.
  • Google’s Gemini is available at no cost to Rowan University employees with enterprise data protections through Rowan credentials with no data use restrictions. The free version has data use restrictions. It can help with text summarization, creative writing, coding, and search, as well as generate images.
  • Adobe Firefly is available via Creative Cloud to authorized Rowan users at no cost. It can generate images, add or remove objects to images and transform text.
