Library Search: Help

A guide to using the search tool Library Search.at Rowan University Libraries.

Citation Search

The Citation Search view is a form you can fill out to search for a specific article, book, or journal by its citation information. To use Citation Search:

  1. Select whether you are looking for an article, book, or journal.
  2. Enter as much citation information about the item you are looking for as you have available. It is very helpful to include a title, as well as an ISSN for journals or journal articles, an ISBN for books, a DOI for electronic articles, or a PMID for articles in the database PubMed, if any of those numbers are available. When you are finished, click Submit.
  3. If Citation Search is able to find the appropriate item, a result or list of results will be displayed, which you can view as though you were searching normally.
