General information about appointments:

The Rowan University Libraries Digital Scholarship Center offers appointments as a service to help students, staff, and faculty on a wide variety of topics and technologies. Technology and best practices change constantly which makes it difficult to stay up to date. As a consequence, we will help you the best we can, which may include helping you find online learning resources such as web directions or video tutorials. 

We are happy to provide assistance; however, we do not do the work for you. Our goal is to help build your confidence and understanding of the material and to help you handle learning the topic or building your project on your own. 

Absence/ cancelations policy

If you cancel a session less than 2 hours in advance or fail to show up for a session, it will be counted as an absence. After two absences we will block you from making any additional appointments for the semester.

Our assistants and schedule
The DSC is staffed by student workers and their schedule can change with little notice. We will make every effort to contact you if we need to cancel.

Your responsibilities

  1. Arrive on time and ready to work.
  2. If you need to miss an appointment, contact the DSC at least 1 day before.
  3. Attempt learning the software ahead of time.
  4. Come to the session with questions.
  5. Actively participate in the session.
  6. In group sessions, be a team player.
  7. Attend class regularly.
  8. Use your professor’s office hours if at all possible.
  9. Always use your professor's guidelines.
