Google Calendar- Changing the Color of a Google Calendar Event

Google Calendar is an organizational tool that allows users to schedule and share events. This tutorial will focus on how to create an event using Google Calendar. 

 

 

1: Logging into google calendar and accessing your event. Make sure that you are logged into a google email and log onto google calendar using this link, https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/r/week?pli=1. After you log onto the calendar, go to the date of the event you hope to change the color of. 

 

 

2: Accessing the options screen. Once you locate the event you would like to change the color, click on the pencil icon. Once you do, you will be taken to an options screen. 

 

 

3: Locating the Color options. There is a color with the default google calendar blue on the menu screen. Click on this circle.

 

 

4 : Choosing your color. Once you click on the circle, there will be a drop-down menu of different color options. Click on your selected color. 

 

 

5: Clicking the “save” button. Once you click on your desired color, the menu will close. Hit the save button to save your choice. 

 

 

6: Viewing your event. Once you click on the “save” button, you will be returned to the main screen. Your newly colored event will appear.
